There are many traditional skills in China, such as catching fish with cormorants,paper cutting and shadow puppet plays. Among them my favourites are traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy.These two skills are closely connected with each other, because they both use brushes. From great Chinese traditional paintings we can learn about the life and culture of ancient Chinese people. We can also express our feelings through painting or writing with a brush. People now use computers to type what they want to say, but typing is not as friendly and creative as paintings and calligraphy.Few young Chinese are good at these great traditional skills now. This is dangerous because maybe many years later nobody will know how to paint and write with a brush. We should not let them die out and we must protect them as part of the culture.
