so …that 如此……以致

【用法】 so.…that作”如此……以致”解，连接一个表示结果的状语从句。so.…that与such．．．that的意思和句法作用基本相同，但such是形容词，而so是副词，请比较：so+adj. /adv． +that-clause(so后跟形容词或副词） such(+a/an+adj.) +n. +that-clause（such后跟名词）

【例句】

◆ It is so hot that we do not want to go out. =It is such a hot day that we do not want to go out．天气太热，我们都不想出去。 

◆ The film was so interesting that I went to see it several times. =This was such an interesting film that l went to see it several times．这部电影十分有趣，所以我去看过好几次。

注意

当”so+形容词／副词”置于句首时，主句要采用倒装结构。如：So loudly did he speak that we heard clearly．他说话的声音如此响亮，我们都听得清楚。
