run out (of) （从……）跑出，用完，耗尽

【用法】 

run out由动词和副词构成，是不及物动词短语，意为”用完,耗尽”时，主语一般为物；run out of由动词、副词和介词构成，是及物动词短语，意为”用完，耗尽”时，其主语一般是人，后接表示时间、精力、钱等的名词。
