【用法】  

该短语常用来连接语法作用相同的词、短语或句子。

【例句】

◆ She is not only a popular actor，but also a good writer．她不仅是一位受欢迎的演员，而且还是一位优秀的作家。   

◆ Honey from the African forest is not only a kind of natural sugar, it is also delicious.产于非洲森林的蜂蜜不仅是一种天然的糖，而且味道也很好。（课标高考）

注意     

①如果not only.…(but) also.…连接两个主语时，谓语动词与邻近它的主语保持一致。如：Not only the students but also the teacher enjoys this film．不仅学生而且老师也喜欢这部电影。

②当not only位于句首时，句子要使用部分倒装。如：Not only is she a physicist but also she is a chemist．她不但是个物理学家，而且也是个化学家。
