【用法】 

① ”more than one+单数名词”作主语时，谓语动词用单数。如：More than one student was absent. 不止一名学生缺席。

②more常和多音节形容词或副词连用，构成比较级，如more important。

③一般说来，形容词+ly构成副词后，其比较级和最高级构成也用more和most。如：more slowly，most slowly。

④在“数词+more+名词”中more表”另外……，再……”之意。I'll buy five more books.我还要再买五本书。
